Zero sum gain

最近在工作上聽到"Zero sum gain"這個名詞,意指有得必有失,例如你把精力放在一個計劃上,便要放棄另外一些計劃.

 

生活上很多時都會遇上這個問題.要陪他做他喜歡的東西便要放棄自己的時間.分開做自己的事便要放棄一起的時間等等.

 

聖經裡有個五餅二魚的神蹟.當我們遇到一個雙贏的局面時,其實都是一個神蹟.

 

At work I’ve recently come across the term "Zero sum gain". Essentially it means that to have something something else’s got to give.For example, if you put your efforts on to a project you need to abandon some other projects.

 

In life we face similar problems. If I need to spend time to do what he wants I need to give up my own time. If we decide to do things individually I need to give up the together time and so on and so forth.

 

In bible there’s a miracle story of the five loaves and two fish. Any time we get a win-win situation maybe it’s a miracle as well.
