Farther distance

I wrote before that the fartherest distance between two people on Earth is when they stand back to back. However, regardless of how far apart that distance is, so long as they both have the will and continue to move forward, one day they’d be able to meet.

There’s an old mathmetical enigma: Two people walk every day such that they’re half as close to each other as the day before. When would they be able to share the same space? In theory, every length can be cut in half. Following this train of thought, the distance between these two people could never be zero*.

If you can see the other but can’t touch him…wouldn’t it be a farther distance than the fartherest distance?

*mathematically the time when they both occupy the same distance CAN be calculated, but we’re not in a math class, are we?
