因為公幹去了英國.已經七年沒有去英國了.七年前想去看音樂劇但沒有時間.今次有時間卻沒有動力.今晚本來要同一班不識的同事興祝聖誕,但真的不想去.我很怕和一大班不相熟的人聚會.其實我可以回酒店的,但想想自己放假都應該不會去英國的,浪費了一晚便少一晚,剛剛公司對面便做獅子王音樂劇,而我很早已因為別人推介而很想看這劇,最後決定買飛看.
下午四時離開公司,七時半才開劇.我不想回酒店,所以在街上行…行到一間書店逗留了個半鐘.我在加拿大時很喜歡行書店了.香港沒有夠大規模的書店,而且很多時出街都是和亞k一齊,他不會有心機陪我行書店的.難得一個人可以行餐飽.之後回酊劇院附近一個叫Covent Garden的地方…有很多在街上的工藝店,又有街頭賣藝.我在一街當買了一份很難食的意粉.年近聖誕,那裡十分熱鬧.我更加孤獨.
滿足了自己想睇獅子王音樂劇的願望…為什麼每一次實現等了幾年的願望時都是自己一個人呢?第一次去迪士尼,去萬博,睇獅子王音樂劇…
I got to go to UK because of work. It’s been 7 years since I last visited. 7 years ago I wanted to see a musical while I was there but I didn’t have time. This trip I have plenty of time but not the drive. Tonight I was supposed to go to a Christmas party with some colleagues I don’t know. I really didn’t want to go. I hate going out with a group I don’t know. I COULD return to the hotel but I thought I’d unlikely return to UK on holidays, if I wasted one more day here it’s really one day lost. They’re showing the Lion King Musical right across from the office. I’ve been wanting to see that since a long time ago after a friend recommended it. In the end I decided to buy a ticket and watch it.
I left the office at around 4pm but the show didn’t start until 7:30pm. I didn’t want to go back to the hotel so I went wandering on the street. I went to a bookstore and stayed there for an hour an a half. I used to enjoy going to bookstores when I was in Canada. Hong Kong doesn’t have any large bookstores and since I usually go out with K he wouldn’t stay in a bookstore with me for long, so I got to satisfy this thirst while I was alone. Afterwards I went to a place near the theatre called Covent Garden. There were a lot of stalls that sold homemade crafts and there’re street performers. I bought a homemade pasta there which tasted really bad. Since it’s around Christmas the place was really crowded. I felt more lonely.
I’ve finally fulfilled my wish of watching the Lion King Musical. How come every time when I fulfill a wish I’ve had for several years I’m all by myself? The first time to Disneyland, going to the World Expo, watching the Lion King Musical…
